| The
workers that put this together worked very hard and gave of
their time and talents for their neighbors; Some of them are
camera shy and we couldn't catch them in action but below are a
few working for YOU! It is always risky to name names for
fear you leave someone out but to not name the ones I know would
be a travesty.
Joyce Helveston
prepared (in her tornado damaged home) the chili and although
she had numerous helpers, she was the cog in the machinery that
was crucial to the outcome! We applaud Joyce and her dear
husband Russ and thank them over and over for their hard work!
Connie Rogers is our
Social Chairperson and despite the fact that she was extremely
sick with double pneumonia, continued to orchestrate this whole
event with her committee.
A portion of the
thank you emailed from Joyce to her "helpers" gives you a small
idea of the many who worked to this end:
"Carol Skibicki
and Barbara Dubois, your many ideas, support and team work
were inspired. Carolee Keller, you jumped in to the Chili
with both hands and you put those tables in order quickly so
we could get the rest going. Merle Kramer, there doesn't
seem to be anything you won't stand up to the plate to do.
Judith Ann Baldoni you were there every minute to support
and lend a hand . Pat Ekedal, you are a super team member
and always there to take on any new task. Mary Gaddis and
Gail Cozic, we love you. Marge Archer you're there when
ever we need a hand. "
and
"Gwen, thanks for the use of the ovens and refrigerator.
Tina Kirby came through with the exact warmer that we needed
for the chili. Accolades to our husbands who have and were
right there to help Russ , Bob , Loren , Ray, Lou, Bill and
Jim. Thanks Guys."
Many
additional friends and neighbors offered the use of their
refrigerators.
