Thank you Flory (and Aldo for making himself scarce for the afternoon so we could do the "girl" thing!) for making us all feel so special in your lovely home with cheerful decorations, fun prizes, hot drinks and a totally welcoming atmosphere! Tons of laughter, delicious cookies and good friends who enjoy each others company. How blessed we are to live in Alexa with such great neighbors! |

December 4th 2007 Our First Annual (?) Ladies Christmas Coffee & Cookie Exchange 3-5 pm Flory Tranquilli's home. (1517 Trenton) Coffee , hot tea and malted cider was provided. OUR INSTRUCTIONS WERE: -Make (or buy fancy – we don’t care) 4 dozen (and 4) cookies or candies (fudge, divinity, peanut brittle, etc) We put 4 cookies on a separate plate to share at the coffee. Put the other 4 dozen (cookies or candy) in baggies to exchange. Place 4 in each baggie, so you will come with 12 baggies filled with 4 of the cookies (or candies) you brought And you will go home with 12 different baggies of goodies to serve through the holidays. Put the recipe with ingredients in or on each baggie - and most of us followed the directions! Margaret won the prize for the most ingredients in her cookies, Judy's cookies were voted the best decorated (they were reindeers), Mary G was dressed in Holiday Festive, Mary B. had the prettiest cookie, Jean's cookie was the "nuttiest" and Janet had the best cookie story. |
