Jack Gaza -  Vice President

Jack and his wife ,Lorraine ,are lifelong Chicagoans who moved to The Villages in May of 2006.  Having never lived more than 40 miles from where they were born, the move to The Villages was not without some initial trepidation. But the timing turned out to be right as was the decision to buy in Mallory Square (despite having only two hours to do so). In the past three and one half years they have had a wealth of new experiences and met wonderful new friends making Mallory Square feel like home.

Jack is a 34 year veteran high school administrator who worked for a large high school district in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Jack has been, a teacher, an assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent. During his career Jack was recognized by the State of Illinois as an Outstanding Principal.  While principal his school was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education. He was proud to represent his school at ceremonies in the Rose Garden of the White House hosted by President Clinton. Upon his retirement in 2003 he spent the next three years teaching graduate level leadership courses in school administration to prospective teachers wishing to obtain state certification to enter educational administration

Jack and Lorraine have been married for 30 years and have three daughters and twin nine year old grandchildren who live in Indiana. They both enjoy golf, bocce, neighborhood parties, music on the square, dining out and cruising. Lorraine is active with The Villages Community Philharmonic Orchestra Guild helping to raise money through fashion shows, garage sales and the like. Jack has been vice president of the social-lites for the past year and enjoys ping pong, playing softball in two leagues, and is a proud member of one of your Mallory Square Neighborhood League softball teams.

Jack's term expires the last of December 2010

DIANE DENISON  - Recording Secretary

Diane Denison and her husband Larry fulfilled a lifelong dream of Larry’s when they moved from Massachusetts to Florida in April, 2006.  Diane always loved to travel, but never considered moving away from precious grandchildren until visiting and falling in love with The Villages lifestyle.

Larry and Diane have been married for 21 years, and they each have two children from previous marriages – he has two daughters, and she has a son and a daughter.  Between them they have seven grandchildren, six boys and one girl.  Diane’s granddaughter has just started her first year in college, and their youngest grandson is now three years old.  Diane takes every opportunity possible to visit grandchildren in Chicago, Connecticut and Massachusetts and share in the important events in their lives.

After 34 years of service with The Wall Street Journal, Diane retired in 2001.   During her years with The Journal, she held various positions including Supervisor of Documentation, Technical Writer, and chairperson for various committees.  She implemented an online help system used by Customer Service reps throughout the entire country, was responsible for maintaining policy and procedural manuals, and enjoyed interacting with a diversified group of department managers.

Upon her retirement, Diane started a monthly luncheon to enable friends to keep in touch.  In time, this group grew to include more than 25 members.  Before moving to The Villages, Diane and her close friend successfully ran a charter bus business and scheduled trips to New York City, Boston, and other points of interest in the Northeast.  This was started as a fun project for friends and business acquaintances and blossomed into a large data base of customers.

Since moving to The Villages, the couple enjoy making new friends by joining The Mallory Square Social-Lites, and partaking in progressive dinners.  Diane also joined the Hilltop Red Hatters and was a Block Captain for Ward Court.  Her special interests include photography, reading, traveling, movies/live entertainment and scrap booking.  Diane’s organizational, computer, and “people” skills are valuable as a member of the Board.

Diane's  term expires the last of December 2009.

Jill Hausner -   Social Chair Person

Jill  Hauser was born in Brooklyn, New York but grew up and spent most of her life on Long Island, NY. She married her high school sweetheart, Richie, in 1964 and they have 2 married sons and one granddaughter - all living in New York.

Prior to having children, she was the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Advertising for Look Magazine.  Once her children were in grade school, Jill returned to the workforce and pursued a career in Human Resources.  Her last 15 years were spent working for an international telecommunications company as Director of Human Resources for North America and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to Europe, Canada and around the U.S.  In 1996 her company asked her to relocate to Texas and in 2002 to move to Virginia.  She says it was hard to leave their kids but the experience of living first in the West and then the South turned out to be wonderful.

 WEBMASTER  - MARY GADDIS

Mary is not a member of the board although she did serve in that capacity for the first 2 years of the club. She designed and maintains your website.

Mary Gaddis loves nothing better than playing with her grandchildren,  but her computer is a close second fun thing.  Mary and her husband Bill were married in June, 1962  They have three daughters and five grandchildren. The Gaddis' moved to Fort Myers, Florida in 1990 and to the Village of Mallory Square in March of 2006.

Mary grew up in the Southwest and moved to Indiana when she was 17.    Mary was in the real estate business for 30 years mainly selling residential property and managing a large real estate office.

She taught herself how to do websites when her church pastor asked her to work on the church website.  Mary served on and chaired several Boards, but she says they weren't always fun. When Liz and Lanny asked for volunteers to help with the Social Lites, Mary created the Mallory Square Social-lites website.  She jumped into the Village Lifestyle with a vengeance, joining the Social-lites, the Shuffleboard Team,  Computer Club, and she is on the Board of the Indiana Club (she does their website also).  She says the hardest thing about living here is remembering to carry her calendar with her. (She "hermits" out every once in a while -But don't let her kid you - she loves it!
