St
Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church is offering the
comedy show
Late
Nite Catechism on November 10 at 5:00 PM.
This is a fund raiser for the Church to help pay off the
mortgage.
Here
is a description of the show:
If
you are not familiar with
Late Night Catechism,
it is a professionally produced comedy show. Here is a
sample:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Jrh_uuPmd0
Late Nite Catechism
is an uproariously funny play that takes the audience
back to their youth. The irrepressible “Sister” teaches
class to a roomful of “students” (the audience).
Throughout the course of the class, the benevolent
instructor rewards her “students” for correct answers
with glow-in-the-dark rosaries and other nifty prizes.
Naughty students may well find themselves on stage,
sitting in a corner, reflecting on their actions.
However, even the most reluctant "students" will be
clamoring to get into this Sister's class. Now in its
14th year,
Late
Nite Catechism has brought its nostalgic
kick to every state in the U.S. as well as to Canada,
the U.K., and Australia.
The
show will appeal to Catholics, but non-Catholics should
get a kick out of it too, judging from the gales of
laughter in every performance.
Tickets can be purchased online at
www.entertainmentevents.com,
<http://www.entertainmentevents.com/> , ($3.00
surcharge) or at the Church office during the week.
General Admission Tickets are $30; “Teacher’s Pet”
Tickets (front seats) are $35. The performance is at
5:00 PM, Wednesday,
November 10, 2010 at Saint Mark Social Hall,
7081 SE Hwy 42, Summerfield.

Hi,
I'm Marsha Koenig of
Bishopville Loop.
I'm checking out garage
insulation.
Please ask Mallory residents
if having
the garage door insulated is
effective
and would they recommend it?
Thank you

We
invite you to join us November 5-10, 2010 at the
Florida Carriage Museum & Resort for our first annual
“Guardians of Freedom: Celebrating Americas Veterans”
6 -- Day Celebration, presented by the Equine Heritage
Institute, Inc. This event pays tribute to the men and
women who fought and sacrificed to obtain our freedom
and to keep it secure for future generations, from the
Revolutionary War to and including the war in
Afghanistan.
This
will be a great experience for Veterans and their
families, and for all who love the United States of
America and those principals for which we stand. This is
truly an event in which you will want to be involved!
Each day honors Veterans from a particular war with
honor guards, speeches, entertainment, special guests
and dignitaries, music, food vendors, indoor and outdoor
displays and exhibits, Civil War re-enactors, historical
interpreters, and so much more! The little known
history of the important role that horses played in
battle is presented through powerful lectures and
displays. You won’t want to miss this event! To see the
complete program, please visit our website at
www.fcmr.org. |

You can’t go wrong with Premium Holistic Pet
Food for
FREE!!!!
Get it even if you don’t use it, sign up for the free food
and donate it to your local HS/SPCA and help them out. Every
bit helps when a shelter can hardly afford cheap food.
Quality pet food like this will help suffering animals
recover better and help them heal more quickly.
It’s so simple: just go the website below and
complete the form after clicking on the Pet food link, then
select a local retailer where you can pick up your food when
the coupon is mailed to your home. You can ask the retailer
if they are willing to hold your donated bag if you wish to
donate it to the HS/SPCA and I’ll pick it up gratefully!
Many thanks! This could allow us to feed many cats and dogs
so choose which one you wish to donate-we need both ALWAYS!

P.S. The Humane Society has a recycle program
for aluminum cans. I go to the Humane Society every
Tuesday and Thursday and would gladly take any can
donations or any other donations with me to the shelter.

FREE KITTY
Our problem is we are moving and can't take
our cat with us. We were wondering if you knew of anyone who may
be interested in taking her in. She is four years old and
current on her shots and so on. She is spayed and declawed. I
can furnish a picture if need be. We will give the new owner
everything they need to care for her: food and bowls, litter and
box, toys, scratching post, travel bag etc.. If you can help us
find her a new home, thank you. If you can
we understand and thank you for your
time and patience.
Sincerely,
Dan and Jennell Anderson

Some of my
Village friends just did an AARP safe driving course and
were directed to this website. It’s the best I’ve seen on
driving roundabouts. The FL DOT has a printed page on its
website but this video created in Washington State is so
easy to understand. Hope you can help distribute it to all
the Social-Lites and other Villagers you know to help us all
with this safety issue.
Video
out of Washington State on how to drive through round abouts..6-7
minutes long… well worth the time.

| Ed Frederick has finished
coordinating the book "10 Seconds Inside A Tornado" which is a
compilation of 70 stories by residents of The Villages who
survived the February 2nd tornado of 2007. If you would
like a copy of the book, contact Ed at
efrederick@earthlink.net or call 352-638-4419. He has
done an excellent job of putting the stories of that horrifying
event together in a very positive way. The book retails
for $19.95. |
