The Gourmet Club

The Gourmet Club will have their first meeting of 2012 on Feb 18 at 6pm at Colony Cottage in the Tea Room. 2012 Dues ($10 pp) will be collected. After a brief meeting outlining our 2012 schedule we will have an appetizer/dessert social. BYOB
All Village residents are welcome to join us for this event. All that is required is an interest in gourmet cooking and enjoyable dinner parties.
Reservations are required by Feb 10th. Please email Jean Patterson at mallorygourmet@hotmail.com or call her at 350-7424 to make your reservation or for additional information. Jean will contact everyone with their appetizer or dessert assignment.
Our next scheduled in-home dinner is March 10th with Chilean Sea Bass as the main course.

Perhaps you are not aware of the Code Red system here in Sumter County. It is a free system to notify those signed up of emergencies in the local area. The notification can be sent to home phones and/or cell phones and I find it to be much more reliable than the weather radio. Even when the snow birds are back in their home state they will be notified of emergencies here in The Villages. I think it’s great and it’s free!!!!!!
