Good Golf Creed

One word in this pledge is the key to our Villages Golfer’s Creed.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Responsibility – I will follow the rules of the golf course and take responsibility for all of my actions on the course.

Etiquette – I will understand the importance of good golf etiquette and will abide by the rules of golf.

Safety – I will exercise awareness and caution when golfing and recognize the importance of keeping safety in mind.

Pace of Play – I will learn more about ways of maintaining my position on the course and always do my best to move without delay.

Educate – I will do my best to educate others on the principles of this creed by sharing them and living up to these principles at every opportunity.

Condition – I will strive to leave the course in better shape than I found it.

Tradition – I will embrace the rules and traditions of this ancient and honorable game and respect my fellow golfers and the courses we are privileged to play.

If you RESPECT the golf course and other golfers, you will already be doing all of the things we suggest as being traits of Good Golf.

Only if you RESPECT the game can you then truly call yourself a golfer.
