Queen Judith Ann Baldoni was born in Maine and moved to Southeast Florida when she was 13. She graduated with a Masters Degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and taught kindergarten for 38 years (all at the same school.) She and her husband, Ideal, have been married for 8 years and like to travel in their 5th wheel RV. They took their first cruise through the Panama Canal last fall and can’t wait to go on another one. They are signed up to go to Israel next spring with a group from their church, Fairway Christian.

They discovered The Villages in June 2005 when they stayed at the Holiday Inn Express here for a York Rite Masonic meeting in Belleview. They bought a house on the third visit and moved here in April 2006.

Judith Ann was active in a Red Hat group in West Palm Beach called the Red Roses where she was the  Duchess of Cranberry and wanted to be part of a group in The Villages. “I figured it would be a great way to meet new friends.” She went to Red Hat Day at Lake Sumter Landing in April to find a group and was told that each Village has its own. So – she started one in Mallory Square. After the group named themselves The Hilltop Social-Lites of Mallory Square; they decided the name was too much of a mouthful and shortened it to Hilltop Hatters. Judith Ann is the Queen of the Hill. The group gathers monthly at member’s homes or goes out for lunch, tea or shopping. “We have fun dressing up in our red and purple regalia, getting together and sharing their lives with this unique sisterhood – which is all about Fun after Fifty.”
